First, you need to figure out whether the problem stems from the hood or from improper installation as is often the case. First check that the metal grease filters are clean, dirty filters significantly reduce the suction capacity of the product.<\/p>

If the hood is installed in the extractor mode (with a hose discharging to the outside) you will have to disconnect the air exhaust hose from the hood, turn on the extractor and check with one hand if air is coming out of the hood outlet. If you feel that air is coming out, it means that the hood is working properly and this is the maximum exhalation of the product, the problem will then have to be solved by analyzing the problems due to the installation (pipe too long and with too many bends, pipe with internal walls that are not smooth, obstructions inside the pipe, etc.). Connecting a hood to an exhaust pipe with a smaller diameter than the motor outlet significantly reduces suction. For example, using a 125mm exhaust pipe in a hood with a 150mm outlet leads to a reduction in performance on the order of 10\/15%.<\/p>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t\t

If the noise is mechanical, disconnect any pipes connected to the hood and check that nothing has fallen inside the motor that contacts the fan blades. If the noise is not mechanical disconnect, if present, the air exhaust hose from the hood, turn on the extractor fan, and see if the situation improves. If it improves the problem will have to be solved by analyzing the problems due to the installation (pipe diameter narrower than the motor outlet diameter, pipe too long and with too many bends, pipe with internal walls that are not smooth, obstructions inside the pipe, etc.). If, on the other hand, the problem does not improve this is the normal operating noise of the product.<\/p>

If the hood is in filter mode, disconnect the activated carbon filters and see if the situation improves. Higher noise with the activated charcoal filters installed is normal. If, on the other hand, the problem does not improve this is the normal operating noise of the product.
For hoods built into a wall unit, many times the noise is caused by vibrations that the hood transmits to the wall unit. Check with your installer to make sure the product is installed correctly.<\/p>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t\t

Fume hood performance is guaranteed by using piping of the same diameter as the motor outlet; smaller pipes reduce equipment performance and contribute to increased noise. For example, if you connect a hood with a 150mm motor exhaust diameter to a 125mm diameter pipe, the loss in performance will be on the order of 10-15%.<\/p>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t\t

Metal grease filters should be washed at least monthly in hot water and detergent (also in a dishwasher). Grease filters collect grease present in cooking fumes that is highly flammable, filters that are not perfectly clean can give rise to fires. Filters may become discolored after a few washes. This is normal and does not mean they need to be replaced.<\/p>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t\t

Condensation forms especially when the hood is installed over an induction cooktop. This is a normal phenomenon and not due to product malfunction. Unlike a gas cooktop, an induction cooktop heats only the vessels containing food and not the surrounding air, so the surfaces of the hood remain cold. When the hot cooking fumes rise, they meet the cold surfaces of the hood, thus releasing the moisture in the air, which quickly turns into water droplets.
